keta /KAY-tah/

n. an image that inexplicably leaps back into your mind from the distant past.
- The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows

Keta Handmade is a creative exploration of materials and ideas, new and old.

Most of my work is inspired by nature or repetitive form,

and imbues the past, personal and collective.

Customs

I love doing customs! Please inquire about them in as much detail as possible!

Support on Patreon + get perks

Patrons on Patreon get extra behind the scenes access to my creative life. Second tier patrons get access to the Patreon shop which includes designs that are no longer available to the public. This is a great way to show your support and you can start as low as $2.

Made by hand

From conception to creation, each piece is made by hand in Michelle’s Philadelphia home studio. Almost all materials and tools are sourced locally on Jewelers’ Row and around the city.

Along with transparency in design, Michelle believes in creating as sustainably as possible. She recycles as much metal, fabric, clay, etc., by putting back into the work, not a landfill.

All work is made by Michelle unless stated otherwise.

One online order
plants one tree

One Tree Planted

Since Earth Day of 2021, Keta Handmade partnered with One Tree Planted to pledge that every one online order would plant one tree in a part of the world that needs it most.
Donations are made quarterly. To date, 1078 trees have been planted. This could not have been done without you!

Meet the maker

Since 2015, Michelle has been creating and selling her artwork through various means like online, local shops, and in-person. Up until recently, Keta Handmade was often seen at pop-up markets and street festivals.

Instead, Michelle has been focusing on how to make her business and creation of artwork as sustainable as possible.

Metalwork is very labor intensive and hard on the body. To help with this, Michelle is paring back her offerings to be of a smaller quantity that rotates often with a focus on custom designs.

If you’d like to show extra support and would like access to a large library of work that is no longer available to the public, please visit her Patreon page!

This is a one-woman-show. Your consideration and business is really appreciated.
